About Us

Mama's Love was birthed in December 2009, shortly after our mother cooked a Thanksgiving dinner that was out of this world!  We had a "Soul Food" fest, from pig feet to sweet potato pie. My mother was the "solo" chef that Thanksgiving, and all the family had to do was show up to the table!

A few months later my sister and I returned to Atlanta, Georgia and decided to sell dinners to local hair salons and barber shops.  We both love to cook, but we knew we couldn't cook like our mom unless she shared some of her secrets and recipes. That she did!  We remembered the Thanksgiving meal she prepared for her family, and from that unforgettable moment we coined the name and our business Mama's Love!  Oh, what joy!

We continue to sell dinners in the Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia area, as well as cater small events and sell a line of specialty cuisine.

Like our mom, we extend the love we felt on that Thanksgiving Day to our customers through the art of cooking “soulful cuisine and desserts” from Mama’s Love!
